Farming with nature

Sustainably producing delicious, nutrient-rich food.

ABOUT FIR FARM

Fir Farm is an organic mixed farm in the Cotswolds.

We are a mixed, organic, regenerative farm rearing native livestock in rotation with arable crops

We sell our own beef, pork, flour, milk and ice cream direct to our local community in the Cotswolds.

We manage the land in order to protect and enhance the environment, increase species diversity and abundance and create new habitats for the flora and fauna to thrive.

HILL BARN

An ideal rural events venue

Our two converted farm buildings set in stunning Cotswold country, provide a flexible space for celebrations, meetings, photoshoots, family and corporate events. Its discreet elevated location makes Hill Barn the perfect private setting, whether for a family or a film crew.

MANOR FARM

A new rural business community for the Cotswolds

Coming soon, new commercial offices & workshops to let. Renovations are underway at Manor Farm, a set of Grade II listed Cotswold stone buildings dating from 1910 and located just outside the village of Upper Slaughter.

FRESH PRODUCE

Organic whole milk

Available from the Fir Farm vending machines at the top of the Rectory Farm drive in Lower Swell and at Manor Farm, near Upper Slaughter. Enjoy local, organic produce in reusable 1 litre glass bottles, straight from the farm. Our whole milk is no more than two days old, is not homogenised and comes from pasture fed cows, so is highly nutritious.

ON FARM SLAUGHTER

Moveable abattoir

Our moveable slaughter unit was granted its license to operate in July 2022. This enables us to slaughter on the farm, avoiding long journeys for the animals, thereby improving welfare as well as the sustainability and quality of our meat.

We are currently in the next phase of building the ancillary elements including a chilling and cutting room and are planning to hold Open Days for anyone interested when the work is complete.

OUR FARMING VALUES

We seek to integrate food production and nature conservation
